　　一、不管是新手還是老手的口譯員，在進(jìn)行陪同口譯的項(xiàng)目之前，一定要認(rèn)真準(zhǔn)備，熟悉需要翻譯的文件內(nèi)容，思考可能涉及的相關(guān)領(lǐng)域知識。因?yàn)闇?zhǔn)備不充分、翻譯不流暢是口譯員最大的失誤。

　　First, interpreters, both novice and veteran, must prepare carefully, be familiar with the contents of the documents to be translated, and reflect on the relevant field knowledge that may be involved before proceeding with the project of accompanying interpreters. 　　二、口譯員應(yīng)該比客戶提前15-20分鐘到達(dá)，無論有何種情況都不應(yīng)該遲到。如果遇到堵車或其他特殊情況耽誤，務(wù)必要給客戶打個電話解釋一下。

　　三、跟同聲傳譯不同，大部分陪同翻譯項(xiàng)目都是需要露面的，所以應(yīng)該注意穿著，不能太隨便搭配，不能邋遢出場。作為陪同翻譯人員，需要跟隨在外賓的左右，所以最好穿正式的衣服。

　　五、因時間有結(jié)余或者中間有比較長的空閑時間的情況下，客戶私自要求譯員去周邊地區(qū)旅游及相關(guān)項(xiàng)目時，其實(shí)是非常危險(xiǎn)的，能避免應(yīng)盡量避免，因?yàn)橐粊磉@類項(xiàng)目不能保證付費(fèi)，第二點(diǎn)也就是最重要的，譯員和客戶二者中任何一個人出現(xiàn)安全問題，誰也無法保證誰也無法負(fù)責(zé)。確實(shí)無法避免的情況之下，應(yīng)該在出發(fā)之前和客戶說明相關(guān)情況，并找到第三方人員做證。

　　六、中國人一般都會認(rèn)為“提錢傷感情”，而外國人則主張公事公辦。如果客戶堅(jiān)持付費(fèi)，一定要說好是一次性付費(fèi)還是按天付費(fèi)。如果遮遮掩掩不敢明說，吃虧的還是自己。

　　七、一般情況下，翻譯公司都會在任務(wù)結(jié)束后一個月內(nèi)將費(fèi)用打到賬戶上，所以除了事先說明是客戶當(dāng)場付費(fèi)，否則很少有在一周之內(nèi)費(fèi)用到賬的情況。

　　八、永遠(yuǎn)不要拋開介紹人直接聯(lián)系客戶。就算介紹人允許你這樣做，你也應(yīng)該不時匯報(bào)一下該項(xiàng)目的情況和進(jìn)展，否則會給人留下一種“不懂事”或“忘恩負(fù)義”的不良印象。另外就是如果口譯項(xiàng)目是別人介紹的，收到錢后一定要通知介紹人一聲，介紹人不求你對他感恩戴德，但起碼應(yīng)尊重人家的知情權(quán)，而且特別是因?yàn)橹虚g出現(xiàn)任何問題，往往還需要介紹人出面幫你解決。
